Pathways to Christ Centered Living

“Each person experiences their own journey of faith.  We each have our own beginning points, crossroads, streams to foredge, valleys to walk through, mountains to climb and more.  Three essential truths about the Journey, (1)  no one’s path is easy and no one escapes the rains and storms.  (2) every journey requires commitment and persistence in the same way athletes work and practice to get to the Olympics  (3) everyone falls down along the way, requiring us to get back up and continue.

“A core understanding, is that Christ Centered Living is not about the journey, but about the destination.  Christ Centered Living is simply about Going Home and being in the presence of God.  Once we are home, God’s grace washes us clean and restores our souls.  The story of the prodigal child [Luke 15:11-32], is one all of us can relate to as it portrays the independent and sometimes rebellious child that eventually realizes the world his father offers is much better than the one he is experiencing… and the realization that as he turns towards home, the child realizes that the father had been watching for him and runs to embrace him.
